DESCRIPTION

SILMATE SMP1891 High Performance MS Sealant is a tough, high performance durable elastomeric joint sealant suitable for use in a wide range of external and internal building applications. It is based upon modified silicone polymer technology resulting in a unique combination of properties ideally suited to various climatic conditions. SILMATE SMP1891 has excellent primerless adhesion to a wide range of common building substrates and does not stain concrete, marble and other masonry surfaces.

APPLICATION

SILMATE SMP1891 High Performance MS Sealant has been formulated for sealing joints in and around concrete, brick, masonry, pre-cast panels, stone cladding, windows, doors and fibre cement sheeting.

TYPICAL PROPERTIES

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

When stored at or below 30℃(86°F) in the original unopened containers, this product has a usable life of 12 months from the date of manufacture. Refer to product packaging for "Use By" date.

LIMITATIONS

SILMATE SMP1891 High Performance MS Sealant must not be used as follows: With polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutylene, polycarbonate and bitumen; Where it is subjected to permanent immersion in water; With structural glazing or floor joints; With pipes or in other applications where it may be subjected to hydrostatic or pneumatic pressures; Where continual exposure to aggressive solvents or chemicals will occur; Where timber or wood based products have been painted.
