DESCRIPTION

SILMATE SMP1890 Low Modulus MS Sealant, is a low modulus, one-component, neutral curing, paintable, environmentally friendly, ultra-low VOC construction sealant. It is recommended for sealing and assembly applications in general construction and pre-casting concrete construction to provide long-term waterproof seal effect.

APPLICATION

Sealing of building joints or cracks for indoors decoration(ceiling, kitchen, windows, walls). Adhesion of most construction materials without primer, including aluminum, steel, wood, granite, marble, concrete, cement, PVC, PC, PA. Sealing for floor systems. Sealing for containers and portable houses. Sealing for automotive interior/roof/plastic assembly etc. SILMATE SMP1890 is not intended for glass glazing, primer is needed and a must for precast concrete panel construction.

TYPICAL PROPERTIES

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

When stored at or below 30℃(86°F) in the original unopened containers, this product has a usable life of 12 months from the date of manufacture. Refer to product packaging for "Use By" date.

LIMITATIONS

SILMATE SMP1890 Low Modulus MS Sealant must not be used as follows: With polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutylene, polycarbonate and bitumen; Where it is subjected to permanent immersion in water; With structural glazing or floor joints; With pipes or in other applications where it may be subjected to hydrostatic or pneumatic pressures; Where continual exposure to aggressive solvents or chemicals will occur; Where timber or wood based products have been painted;
